There will be a Reiki clinic in the Seattle area and located specifically in Burien! The idea is to treat folks dealing with chronic and stress-related concerns who are not able to pay the market fee. The clinic will meet the second Tuesday of every month starting September 14 from 10 am to 12 noon. It will be sponsored by the Burien Parks and Recreation Department at the Community Center (the site of the old Burien Library). A minimum $2 donation will be asked, and the proceeds go to the Burien Community Center. This clinic has been a dream gestating for more then a year.

There are numerous sources of inspiration for this dream within the larger Reiki community. That spectrum includes a clinic in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho established 7 years ago by Susan Mitchell, long-time Reiki Master in the Usui System of Natural Healing. Another is a clinic in London for mothers and babies; mothers receive help with post-birth recovery, and babies are treated for colic and poor sleep. Clinics are offered in such diverse places as Nigeria (Reiki Magazine June/July, 2001)and Guatemala (Reiki magazine, Oct/Nov, 2004)).

We are actively looking for Reiki practitioners to participate. Ideally we will have 4 tables set up with 2-3 practitioners at each table. If this opportunity to be of service resonates with you please contact me.
