SOMETHING NEW TO SOOTHE THE BODY AND RELIEVE STRESS

Monthly Reiki Clinic the second Tuesday of every month at the Burien Community Center.

What: Reiki (ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning universal life energy.  The origin of current Reiki practice can be traced to the early 1900's in Japan.  This gentle, non-invasive hands-on healing practice is deeply relaxing.  Using Bio-feedback instruments, the treatments consistenly show reduced heart, pulse, and respiration rates, all measures of a state of relaxation.  The recipient lies down or sits comfortaly and is fully clothed.  All treatments will be under the supervision of a professional Reiki master.

Time: 10AM to 12 noon  

Cost: Donation of $2.00 - $10.00 (which goes directly to the Community Center as all Reiki practitioners are volunteers).

Purpose: To introduce Reiki to the general public in a relaxed, quiet, accessible environment and to make treatments available to those who otherwise would not have access to alternative therapies.
